1. A sample preparation apparatus, comprising a support, a microscope, a pattern recognition assembly and a femtosecond milling
laser coupled to the support, and a sample of interest;
wherein the microscope is an optical microscope, the femtosecond laser is configured for milling a desired pattern on a portion
of interest of the sample, and further comprising a sample holder for the microscope, and a precision micro-manipulator engaging
the support for extracting and positioning the portion of interest on the sample holder.
