1. An apparatus for determining whether or not knocking has occurred in an internal combustion engine, the internal combustion
engine including a first injector for directly injecting fuel into a combustion chamber, a second injector for injecting fuel
into an intake system, and a knock sensor for detecting information relating to knocking and generating an output signal,
the apparatus comprising:
a knocking determination means for determining whether or not knocking has occurred based on the output signal of the knock
sensor during a knock determination period; and
an altering means for altering the knock determination period in accordance with a ratio between the amount of fuel the first
injector injects and the amount of fuel the second injector injects.
