1. A system for adjustable placement of foodstuff, comprising:
a pair of adjacent transport surfaces that meet at an interface wherein one of the pair of transport surfaces is adapted to
present rows of foodstuff items, wherein the rows may contain various numbers of foodstuff items, wherein each of the pair
of surfaces is configured to transfer an undefined number of foodstuff items in each row across the interface so that the
foodstuff items are transferred from one of the transport surfaces in a first arrangement to the other of said transport surfaces
in a second laterally shifted and axially more compact arrangement, and
the system being capable of delivering the rows of foodstuff items to a downstream food processing apparatus in a nested arrangement.
