1. A television monitor display, comprising:
a first selectable source of a first video display signal;
a second selectable source of a second signal for video display;
a video processor receiving signals from said first and second selectable sources and controllably combining said second signal with said first video display signal;
a sync separator coupled to receive said combined signal and generate therefrom separated synchronizing signals; and,
a controller responsive to user selection of said first selectable source and generating a disable signal for controlling said video processor to inhibit combining of said second signal for a predetermined time.
