1. An image forming apparatus comprising:
image forming means for forming an image on a recording material;
rotatable heating means for heating the image formed on the recording material;
induction heating means for electromagnetic induction heating of said rotatable heating means; and
electric power supply control means for controlling a supply of electric power to said induction heating means,
wherein said electric power supply control means starts the supply of electric power to said induction heating means in response
to an input to said image forming means of an image formation start signal, and, after the start of the electric power supply
to said induction heating means, said electric power supply control means determines whether to continue the electric power
supply to said induction heating means on the basis of whether the rotational speed of said rotatable heating means is whithin
a predetermined range, and
wherein, after a predetermined time elapses, the electric power supply is stopped when the rotational speed of the rotatable
heating means is out of a predetermined range.
