1. A method for producing a transgenic plant having enhanced disease resistance compared to a non-transgenic control plant,
said method comprising the steps of:
a) transforming a plant or plant cell with a nucleotide sequence encoding a protein comprising an amino acid sequence at least
95% identical to SEQ ID NO:2, wherein the nucleotide sequence is operably linked to a promoter active in plant cells,
b) regenerating a plant, wherein the regenerated plant has enhanced disease resistance compared to a non-transgenic control
plant.
