1. A drill body for chip-removing metal machining, the drill body defining a center axis of rotation and comprising:
a front head and a rearwardly extending hollow shaft adapted for connection with a tube, the front head including a first
material;
an axial through-channel for internal chip evacuation extending between at least one chip inlet opening in the front head
and a chip outlet opening at a rear end of the shaft; and
a cutting edge disposed behind the inlet opening with reference to a direction of rotation of the drill body, the cutting
edge including a second material integrally sintered with the first material of the front head.
