1. A fuel injection device for an internal combustion engine, the fuel injection device comprising:
a fuel supply pump for pressure-feeding high-pressure fuel to a fuel injection valve mounted in a cylinder of the engine;
and
a learning controller for executing main learning for learning and correcting a variation of an instrumental error of the
fuel supply pump when a learning execution condition is satisfied, wherein
the learning controller includes a tentative learning execution device that executes tentative learning for learning and correcting
the variation of the instrumental error of the fuel supply pump before the learning execution condition is satisfied, and
the tentative learning execution device executes the tentative learning at least once after initial tentative learning is
executed before a transition to the main learning is made.
