1. A process for the preparation of at least one of acrolein and acrylic acid from at least one of propane and propene, the
process comprising the following steps:
(a) separating at least one of propane and propene from a gas mixture A containing at least one of propane and propene by
absorption in an absorbent,
(b) separating at least one of propane and propene from the absorbent to give a gas B containing at least one of propane and
propene and
(c) oxidizing the gas B obtained in stage (b) to form at least one of acrolein and acrylic acid,
wherein no heterogeneously catalyzed dehydrogenation of propane without a supply of oxygen is carried out between steps (b)
and (c), and
wherein the separating in step (b) is carried out by stripping with at least one of a pressure change and a temperature change,
using at least one of steam, air and an oxygen/nitrogen mixture, and
wherein during the separating (a) the gas mixture A is brought into contact with the absorbent at a pressure of from 1 to
50 bar, and
wherein the stripping (b) is carried out at a pressure of from 0.1 to 10 bar.
