1. A method of operating a compressor control module associated with a compressor of a refrigeration system, the compressor
control module being adapted to communicate with a system controller operable to control the refrigeration system, the method
comprising:
at the compressor control module,
monitoring a parameter of the compressor including obtaining a value for the parameter;
comparing the value with a parameter limit;
generating an alarm after the value traverses the parameter limit;
communicating the alarm to the system controller;
replacing the compressor control mofule after generating the alarm; and
reconfiguring the system including the replaced compressor control module.
