1. A method for recovering communicated information in a communication system, the method comprising:
generating a first digital signal from a received analog signal bearing the communicated information, said first digital signal
having a pre-cursor response and a post-cursor response;
generating a second digital signal that limits a duration of at least a portion of said post-cursor response;
generating a third digital signal that inhibits at least a portion of said pre-cursor response;
generating a fourth digital signal that inhibits said at least a portion of said post-cursor response; and
generating a fifth digital signal that limits a duration of at least a portion of said fourth generated signal in order to
recover the communicated information.
