1. A method of reducing caloric utilization in a human comprised of orally administering to the human an α-amylase inhibitory effective amount of a bicyclohexane derivative having an in vitro IC50 of less than 1×10−4 M toward human pancreatic or salivary α-amylase enzyme. |
