1. A method for producing an optical media disc that stores user files readable by a computer system via an optical media
drive system, the user files being files that are not dedicated to system use by the optical media drive system, the method
comprising the steps:
organizing the user files based on the frequency with which the user files will be accessed on the optical media disc, including
designating a portion of the user files as being accessed more frequently than other user files;
calculating the size of a dummy file to be located toward an inner portion of the disc so that the user files will be located
toward an outer portion of the disc and so that the designated portion of the user files will be positioned at a position
on the disc having a higher expected data transfer rate; and
transferring the user files into a master optical media disc so that the user files are located toward the outer portion of
the disc and so that the designated portion of the user files is located at the position on the disc with a higher expected
data transfer rate than the other user files.
