1. A lawn sweeper for collecting debris from a surface, comprising:
a frame;
at least one wheel rotatable with respect to the frame for movement of the lawn sweeper along the surface;
a collection bin engaged with the frame for collecting the debris;
a brush assembly having at least one brush for urging the debris from the surface into the collection bin;
a reducing mechanism including a shaft rotatable with respect to the collection bin and at least one cord extending from and
rotatable with the shaft, that at least one cord cutting the debris within the collection bin to reduce a volume of collected
debris, the reducing mechanism being disposed at least partially within the collection bin.
