1. A method, comprising:
receiving, from a device, a first set of interaction data associated with an event, the first set of interaction data including a first identifier and indicating a user interaction with one or more content items;
identifying a second identifier associated with the first identifier;
identifying a second set of interaction data associated with one or more previous interactions, the second set of interaction data including at least one of the first identifier or the second identifier;
annotating the first set of interaction data based on the one or more previous interactions, wherein the annotation indicates
(i) a preference for interaction data associated with previous interactions including the first identifier over interaction data associated with previous interactions including the second identifier, such that the interaction data associated with previous interactions including the first identifier are eligible for attribution to the event and the interaction data associated with previous interactions including the second identifier are ineligible for attribution to the event, or
(ii) a preference for interaction data associated with previous interactions including the second identifier over interaction data associated with previous interactions including the first identifier, such that the interaction data associated with previous interactions including the second identifier are eligible for attribution to the event and interaction data associated with previous interactions including the first identifier are ineligible for attribution to the event;
determining the event is associated with at least one previous interaction of the one or more previous interactions based on the preference indicated by the annotation, wherein the determining includes analyzing the first set of interaction data and the annotation to attribute the one or more previous interactions to the event, and wherein the analyzing is limited to interaction data, of the second set of interaction data, that includes the preferred identifier indicated by the annotation; and
transmitting an indication that the event is associated with the at least one previous interaction.
