1. A stemmed anchor assembly, comprising:
a humeral anchor that comprises:
a first end including a collar;
a second end;
an interior surface extending between the first end and the second end, the interior surface defining a recess that extends through an entirety of the humeral anchor between the first end and the second end;
an exterior surface including a first tapered portion extending from the collar to a lateral projection and a second tapered portion extending from the lateral projection to the second end, the lateral projection defining a discontinuity between the first tapered portion and the second tapered portion; and
a slot extending along the interior surface between the collar and the lateral projection and configured to engage a corresponding ridge of a coupling of a shoulder articular body;
wherein the recess is configured to secure the coupling of the shoulder articular body directly to the interior surface, and
the slot has a length that extends between the collar and the lateral projection and a width that extends circumferentially along the interior surface, the length being longer than the width;
a stem; and
an adaptor configured for coupling the second end of the humeral anchor to the stem.
