1. A multi-parameter water analysis system comprising: a plurality of chemical indicators, each of said plurality of chemical indicators adapted to indicate the levels of a predetermined constituent of an aquatic environment by undergoing a detectable physical change;
a holder designed and configured to be submerged in the aquatic environment during use of said plurality of chemical indicators and to be removably engaged with a movement actuator of a monitor apparatus having a reader for sensing the detectable physical change of the plurality of chemical indicators, said holder: supporting said chemical indicator; and including:
an engagement structure designed and configured to allow the monitor apparatus to move said holder and the plurality of chemical indicators relative to the monitor apparatus during use of the monitor apparatus when the apparatus is submerged in the aquatic environment, wherein the plurality of chemical indicators are arranged on the holder and the holder is designed and configured such that as the holder is moved in relation to the monitor apparatus, each of the plurality of chemical indicators is brought into alignment with the reader at a different time; and
a cleaning element designed and configured to contact with and clean an optical lens of the reader.
