1. A method comprising:
implanting, in a patient, an interbody implant having a plurality of resonators between adjacent vertebrae, wherein a length of each of the resonators is configured to resonate at a predetermined frequency of an external wave generator; and
transmitting from outside the patient, by the wave generator, mechanical waves towards the implanted interbody implant at the predetermined frequency, thereby causing the plurality of resonators to resonate at the predetermined frequency to promote bone growth.
