1. A de-energizable defibrillation assembly, comprising:
an electromechanical component;
an energy storage element that supplies power to the electromechanical component; and
circuitry configured to generate a defibrillation waveform, the circuitry comprising a microcontroller control, element configured to run a diagnostic check upon the circuitry receiving the power from the energy storage element, wherein the circuitry is isolated from the energy storage element by the electromechanical component and wherein the circuitry is electrically unbiased when the power is not flowing from the energy storage element to the circuitry through the electromechanical component.
