1. A vehicle for use with a blockchain-based transportation system for automated assessment of transportation of goods, the vehicle comprising:
a goods storage region configured to carry one or more goods packages, each package having a package tag, the package tag comprising an electronic identification system including a package blockchain defined by package blockchain data comprising a package block, the package block comprising package data including at least a package identifier;
a vehicle blockchain defined by vehicle blockchain data comprising a vehicle block, the vehicle block comprising vehicle data including at least a vehicle identifier, wherein the vehicle blockchain is uniquely associated with the vehicle; and
a controller configured to communicate with the electronic identification system of each package to retrieve the package blockchain data and to generate updated blockchain data using the vehicle blockchain data and the retrieved package data of each package;
wherein the updated blockchain data is available for assessment of transportation of the goods packages
wherein the package data includes a package weight, wherein the updated blockchain data includes data defining a total weight of the packages, wherein the vehicle data includes a weight data defining a weight of the vehicle and passengers, and wherein the controller is configured to report, to a remote server for verification, a total weight of the vehicle, of the packages in the goods storage region, and of the passengers.
