1. A system, comprising:
at least one data processor; and
at least one memory storing instructions, which when executed by one or more processors, result in operations comprising:
generating, using the one or more processors, a baggage itinerary including a first segment and a second segment, the first segment booked separately from the second segment, the first segment departing from a first location and arriving at a second location from which the second segment departs;
generating, using the one or more processors, a message identifying baggage to be transferred to a carrier operating the second segment following the arrival of the baggage at the first location, the message identifying the baggage for interlining the baggage to the carrier operating the second segment at the second location; and
sharing, using the one or more processors, the message with a carrier system associated with the carrier configured to operate the second segment to enable an update of the carrier system with a bag tag identification corresponding to the baggage, the update configured to identify the baggage using the bag tag identification for interlining the baggage to the carrier operating the second segment at the second location.
