1. A method of preparing a foam composite, the method comprising:
providing a mixture of a polyol, an isocyanate, a particulate filler, and a liquid blowing agent comprising an organic liquid having a boiling point equal to or greater than 30° C.; and
foaming the mixture to obtain the foam composite;
wherein the foam composite has a density of 2 pcf to 40 pcf, and a thermal conductivity equal to or less than 0.050 W/m·K; and
wherein the foam composite has a closed cell content equal to or greater than 50%.
