1. A sensor unit, comprising:
one or more orientation sensors coupled to a conductor support structure and configured to sense positional data of the conductor support structure;
a temperature sensor;
an electronic processor in electronic communication with the one or more orientation sensors and the temperature sensor; and
a memory coupled to the electronic processor and storing support structure configuration data and instructions that, when executed by the electronic processor, cause the electronic processor,
determine a position of the conductor support structure associated with the sensor unit based on data from the one or more orientation sensors,
enable a galloping position threshold responsive to a temperature indicated by the temperature sensor being less than a predetermined value,
determine that the position violates the galloping position threshold, and
generate an alert message responsive to determining that the position violates the galloping position threshold.
