1. A method comprising:
obtaining a target Zero-Dispersion Wavelength (ZDW) distribution for a Highly Non-Linear optical Fiber (HNLF) having a plurality of segments spliced together to form the HNLF, two or more segments of the plurality of segments being made of different materials and having different ZDW properties with respect to each other;
determining a difference between the target ZDW distribution and individual ZDW distributions of a plurality of ZDW distributions respectively corresponding to each segment of the plurality of segments;
determining a respective target temperature for each respective segment based on the determined differences between the target ZDW distribution and the ZDW distribution corresponding to each respective segment; and
adjusting a respective temperature of each respective segment based on the respective target temperature of each respective segment such that each respective segment has a respective ZDW that is within a threshold of the target ZDW.
